ok... in my eyes this is a problem, players signing up after the draft, which give advantages to some teams. it was kinda ok for the first season because we really did need more players and everyone wanted to start, but now we have enough and there should be some sort of "rules" regarding this stuff. Something more indepth than there already is. i think players can sign after the draft, then they should wait till next season, thats fair right?
heres a conversation me and fireworks had:

I don't think they should be able to. You could retire a player then purposely wait until after the draft that way you guarantee that your player ends up on the team you want. I dunno if that was what was intended any time it has happened. But I do see that it could become a problem if people started abusing it.
Perhaps allow it since its already happened the first 2 seasons. But put in a rule for the following seasons.

da mn it seems like ppl always have a problem with something i do rather it be running a league or participating in another league........i see how 50 cent feels now...everyone has a problem with him too rather it be bootin game outta gunit or not makin music as hard as it was when his 1st album came out or beefin too much with ppl

Its not a serious problem yet. I don't see why people have to get their panties in a twist about anything yet. No one is trying to alienate anybody. Its just something that could turn into a serious problem later if people start to work the system. I'm not saying that you did it with the intentions to abuse. There is no rule as of now so it should be legit. I just think that from now on that there could be a rule put in place to avoid abuse. Why have a draft if everyone just waits till its over and then pick what team they want to play for? Again, I'm not saying that's the intention that you had, but it could easily turn into a serious problem. Take a Midol if you are gonna get so worked up about it.  |

I didn't intend to abuse it if thats the way it came off. I just didn't wanna go to a team where I wouldn't get used. I'd like to go to a team where I could contribute.

Relax guys. I can see both sides. Anth wants to make a new guy after the draft so that he can control his players destiny and go to a team where he will start and contribute. Everyone else is mad because they don't want new free agents coming in and altering the balance in the league. I say we let Anth's guy in but then make a new rule preventing it in the future!

I agree with this totally. It's already happened and the intention wasn't to hurt anyone. But Fro and I have agreed that it is a situation that could get down right out of hand if a rule isn't in place for the 08 season. I wasn't trying to get mad over what happened, just expressing concern and a possible solution. This is the only Sim League that I am in that is going anywhere, so I want to make sure that its still around. ;D |

You weren't trying to do anything bad by what you did. There was no rule in place, and thus what happened is completely legal. It was just something that could be cause for concern. All this is just for fun. |
