DT-D-Train
DH- Welcome and thanks for listening to the CSSL Radio Station. Today we have a future CSSL player who wants to make it big. He came out of Tennessee after his 4 years averaging a total of 23.2 ppg, 11.2 rrpg, and 3.3 apg. So he knows how to play and hes ready to step up to play big time ball. So wlecome our guest today, Damarcus "D-Train" Tyler..
DT- Hey Guys. Thanks for having me on your show.
DH- So are you ready for the draft this Sunday?
DT- Am I ready? Heck Yes im ready. I have been waiting since my last game in Tennessee to come and play in the CSSL. I couldn't tell you how much i cant wait to get drafted. I have been working hard and everything just to get ready for preseason.
DH- What round do you think you will go and why?
DT- I think i will go in the first round because im very good and i try my very hardest to be the best. They compare me to the next Tim Duncan so i think i will go first if not there is something wrong and if i go 2nd round what a big steal in the draft.
DH- I totally agree with you D-Train. So what have you been doing to get ready for the preseason?
DT- Well as of right now i cant really run plays because i havent been drafted yet but i have been running and trying to stay in shape. Coach Pearl has been helping me alot. I still practice with Tennessee and its helping me to stay in shape and its also helping the guys who is playing college ball for Coach Pearl.
DH- So how was it playing for Coach Pearl?
DT- He is a really good coach. I have learned everything i know from him. He's a player's coach i can just tell you that. He cares about you. He always made me keep my grades up just in case i didnt make it pro and i love him for that. He made us strive for everything we got and now hes got Tennessee's program back on tract. So what more can you say.
DH- Tell me how you plan to suceed in the CSSL?
DT- I plan on doing whatever it takes. If he takes me to move to another position like Center or Small Forward i will do it but whatever it takes to suceed in this league i will do. They dont call me D-Train for nothing.
DH- So how did you get the nickname D-Train?
DT- My Brother gave it to me when we was younger. So it kinda stuck with me all the way through Highschool to college. I have always been called that i guess because im a power house and noone can stop a Train. So he just called me D-Train. Which like i said noone can stop this Train.
DH- You averaged 23.2 ppg, 11.2 rrpg, and 3.3 apg in college. Do you think you can average more than that here in this league or do you think your number will fall some?
DT- In college there was really noone to stop me but here in this league they might be someone that would be more of a stopper but i still think i can average those kinds of numbers. I am really good inside the paint and i dont think anyone can but i may be wrong but im going to try to be the best in this league so i think I can average that this season.
DH- What do you think of your brother, White Chocolate, this last season with Reebok?
DT- I think he did impressive. For him to come off the bench for them and contribute like he did. I think he did impressive. This year he gets to start so hes happy about that. Im happy for him and lets not forget he also went to the ship is first season. I hope i can do that also but im not sure it just depends on where i will end up at.
DH- What happens if you 2 get to play on the same team with each other?
DT- I think that would be awesome but if it dont it will still be cool to get to play with him in this league. Just to get to play with him again on the same team would be awesome. We played together in Tennessee together and we did awesome together but its not up to us its up to the General Managers.
DH- Well, I wish the best of luck to you both and I want to thank you for being on the show with us. I hope you like where you get drafted and maybe end up with your brother.I hope to be able to catch you down the road and hollar back at you.
DT-No problem. Just give me a call man and i'll be here.
DH- Thats our show today, we want to thank all of you out there for listening to us and for putting up with us for this 30 minutes. To D-Train, Thanks again for coming. But we'll see you all again next time on CSSL Radio.
