Welcome to this edition of "Inside the CSSL" This is the brand new show that will talk to the Best of the best in City Slam Sim League. Our first player is on the defending champions team. Lets give a huge welcome to the PF of Nike, Nick "Show Stoppa" Miller....
*Crowd Roars*
SS: Hey Michael how's it going?
MJ: Its going pretty good son. How's life been for ya?
SS: Couldn't be better. I'm sitting herewith a legend talking some basketball and my Nike team is tied for the best record in the land.
MJ: Thats good to hear. So this is the first year that you've ever had real competition to be the best. Any different?
SS: Yeah its weird to wake up in the morning and look at the newspaper and not see Puma in 1st in the South. But i mean Reebok is a great team so if anyone deserves to be running with the champs for #1 then it would be them.
MJ: So do you think that Reebok can make some history and be the only team besides Nike to win the championship?
SS: Well Anthony Myers the coach really changed the outlook of his team in the offseason. All the changes to his lineup is really scary in the eyes of me atleast. In week 3 Reebok really shocked us with a huge win against us.But I think we are still the favorite to win it all. I think that we have to much defense for them to score more than 120 points on us.
MJ: Well thats a good way to look at it, but they have an well rounded scoring threat and the Machine is their defensive Guru, i still give Nike the rings until someone can beat them in the Playoffs.
MJ: So why are you so quiet? I think this might be one of your first public meetings.. why?
SS: Well i'm a hard working man. I'm always in the work-out room trying to make myself a better player. I just like to keep things to myself at times so i can be more explosive out on the court. When my agent said i could talk to the great Michael Jordan, well i decided one interview wouldn't kill me.
MJ: How do you feel your overall performance is this season?
SS: Mike, Its my 3rd season as a pro. This seems to be my worse. Of course i'll give you the daily double-double but i think my scoring is way down.
MJ: Why do you think that is?
SS: I'm on a team that practically each starter averages 20 points a game. Its really hard these days to show what i really can do. My first season was so dominating because i feel i was the main focus of the scoring but now our Coach has brought in more options and well its made our team alot toughier to beat.
MJ: You have been averaging 13.4 Rebounds per game with 13.6 Points Per game this season so far in 10 games. That not much of your game, what do you think you can do to make it better?
SS: Well my rebounding has been great. I have been the guy that reels in all of the rebounds for 3 years now. I think i really need to work on my shooting. Looks like i will be in the gym non stop until i can see my scoring rise more. Its really hard for me to not help my team out on both sides of the court.
MJ: Okay so this is your first interview, Tell the Media something that you've been keeping inside.
SS: I hate the media. But tis be the holidays and all i want if for everyone to not think that i can just get rebounds and thats all. I realize there will be better players then me. Some younger guys are already looking like the next me. But until i hang up my shoes, I will be the best that CCSL has ever seen. Most fearful person that noone wants to drive in the lane too. Als ofor all the haters against Nike, We are the best so get use to it. We are like your Bulls Dynasty of the NBA.
MJ: Powerful words you got there. What makes Nike #1 still in your mind?
SS: Michael, Nike has heart. When we are called on to the court, we all huddle together and just join as one. We work together and well we have the best players. All our players will go into the Hall of Fame. Jazz is really showing that he is the best SF in the game with the scoring rampage he's been on. Bonafide is a really close friend of mine and I hope that we are apart of Nike's francise for a very long time.
MJ: Well we are almost out of time in this show, but before i go i want to ask you some True or False questions.
SS: I'm ready lets do this.
MJ: If Nike wins its 3rd straight Championship. Will it be the best team ever?
SS: True/False. I think that if we think we are the best everever then why stop at 3 championships?
MJ: All the Nike starters are 3 year players. Has any of them have been unhappy once while in Nike?
SS: False. Nike is a great place to play for. Our coach is amazing and really pushes us to give our best.
MJ: Its Christmas, Are you doing anything special for it?
SS: Well my wife and I are going to some food kitchen's to share the holiday's well those who really need some magic in their lives.
MJ: Well i'm glad that you care about your community enough to do that. I bet not many are doing that these days.
SS: Now Mike you know how betting gets you in trouble.
