GA: Hello and welcome to the show, we got a treat for you today, we got up-and-coming star Jayceon Taylor aka The Game with us today, thanks for being here Game.
JT: My pleasure
GA: Game, you just signed with Nike today, How do you feel about your team so far?
JT: I love where the team is going. We got Show Stoppa and The Choker up front, myself, then Fresh Skillz and Bonafide in the backcourt, all great players, and our coach Mr. North, who I thank God everyday for bring into my life and giving me a chance to prove I can ball with the best of them.
GA: You guys got 1 heck of a team with alot of talented scorers, Do you picture a problem with so many scorers and only one ball?
JT: I don't see it as a problem, alot of the guys here are talented but are also willing to share the ball with someone else so it shouldn't be a problem.
GA: Would you make it a problem if you don't get it much?
JT: Of course not, I'm a team player, there's no I in team, as long as we win, I could care less if I got 0 points.
GA: I like your attitude about things. Your not like alot of players that think it's always me, me, me.
JT: No I care about the team more than me.
GA: Yeah I've noticed that, Could you break each position down for us?
JT: I sure can.
GA: Center
JT: Show Stoppa is maning that position. He is a guy who can do it all. Shoot from the inside, shoot from the outside, play perimeter defense, play defense in the paint, and rebound the ball. He's a guy who should get huge consideration for the MVP award this year. He's a guy who will make or break our team. If he's out for an extended period of time we will find it hard to replace him.
GA: Great breakdown of a great center. Power Forward
JT: The Choker is holding that position down. He is another guy like Show Stoppa, he can do it all. Shoot from anywhere on the court almost, play defense almost anywhere on the court, he can also go up and bring the ball down with the best of them. He's another guy if we lost it would kill us. Oh and he can handle the rock with the best of them.
GA: Yet another great breakdown of a great player, Small Forward.
JT: There we got myself. I'm not close to as great as them but I wouldn't call myself a scrub either. I don't shoot as well as them but I can dunk it or I can swish the 3. I can handle the rock if needed as well. I can also play defense pretty well around the court. My rebounding ability isn't great but I'm not as bad as alot of the Point Guard around the league. That's not their fault their size just affects that and the coaches don't ask them to do that alot. Ya know?
GA: Your not a scrub by no means, shooting guard.
JT: There we got Fresh Skillz. He's an excellent Shooting Guard. He can do it all basically like everyone else in our lineup. He can run up and dunk it or shoot the 3 ball. He has awesome handling ability. He plays excellent defense. He can also rebound pretty good but being a shooting guard he's not expected to do that much.
GA: He's a pretty good all around player for a shooting guard. Next up we got point guard.
JT: There we got the one and only Bonafide. Man this guy is the s hit right here. Man this guy can do it all. There's nothing he can't do that isn't at least good. His shooting, man don't even get me started on that. His ability to handle, one word, AWESOME. His defense is pretty good, not the best but pretty good. His ability to rebound is also pretty good even though he's not expected to do that. Overall he's a great player to play with.
GA: It sounds like you guys got a great team overall.
JT: Most definitly we do. As long as everyone corespondes well together I don't think anybody can come close to matching us.
GA: Do you got any beef with a player?
JT: Iggy Slam, man this guy thinks hes the s hit when hes not even as good as I am. I'm not great by no means but I'm better than this wanna be player. What makes me mad the most is that he always thinks hes so great and hes not though. I can't wait to play against him and show him whos better.
GA: He is a good player though.
JT: Man what games have you been watching? He can't play this game. Only reason hes starting is because his team blows. Just wait till we play them. Were gonna blow them away so bad that their team is gonna look like a hurricane hit them. The next time they play their fans are gonna show up with paper bags over their heads like New Orelean Saints fans did in the 70s.
GA: Ok I'm just wondering, did you get any other offers before you signed with Nike?
JT: Yeah I got a couple. I could have signed Converse and Puma but I chose to sign with Nike instead after Mr. North approached me about signing with his team, the past they've had I couldn't turn down.
GA: The salary your getting is quite low, do you got any problem with that?
JT: I sure don't. If the teams winning my salary and contract is the least of my concerns, same with scoring and stats.
GA: What do you do in your spare time?
JT: Play my playstation 2, listening to music, rap, etc.
GA: Rap, could you have made a career outta that?
JT: Man I already have, I'm doing double duties playing basketball and rapping.
