Marv Albert: I'm standing here with Salim "Silk" Stoudamire and Andre "Iggy Slam" Iguodala. Fellas, you both played a great game.
Silk: Thanks Marv, it was nice to get the W.
Iggy: (Slightly morose) Thanks.
MA: Now, you two were once teammates, this was your second meeting against eachother. Are you used to wearing opposing jerseys?
S: As you know Marv, we are both Arizona alum, so we go way back. It hurt the first time we faced off. But that's life when it comes to ball at higher level.
I: Yeah, and it was a move that the respective teams had to make. I enjoyed being reunited with Salim, but I wasn't getting the minutes over at Puma. I'm here to showcase my skills and help a team win a ring. I'm not doing that getting 10 minutes a game.
(Silk and Marv smile)
MA: YES!!!
(Silk and Iggy look at eachother, confused)
MA: You both are very different players. Silk you are more of a shooter, and Andre, you are more of a versatile swingman who takes pride in defense. Who helps their team more?
I: (Smiling) Defense wins championships Marv, I bring that toughness to And1 as you can tell from holding Afro Thunder to only 11 of 30 shooting, this game.
S: OHHH!!! But you didn't win the game! Outscoring the opposition wins championships, Marv.
(Silk and Iggy start cracking up)
S: My boy Iggy is the best perimeter defender in the game. He's given the opposing 2 guard fits ever since being shipped off to And1. Helping them to be the only team to beat Nike. Let's get him some votes for Defensive Player of the Year! (smiles)
MA: YESSS!!!! Thank you both for your time, and good luck the rest of the season to you and your teams.
