AL: Welcome again for another interview with the Head Coach of Nike, Mr. Julius North. After much action from the Nike Street Team, alot of questions are left unanswered, so I hope to get some answered tonight.
JN: Thanks alot Alex, nice to be here again.
AL: Oh the pleasure is all mine, first off, tell us about your recent trades? The one involving Ex-Nike player, Hurricane, was a big trade.
JN: Yessir it was, Hurricane has been playing great for us, but we looked for a better SF that fits our needs. Hurricane is a star, but I felt that at Nike he wasn't getting the proper playing time to show off his skills. So I talked to Converse and sent our First Round Draft Pick along with Hurricane for Fresh Skillz.
AL: Why Fresh Skillz?
JN: He has alot of good attributes that we like over here. He brings toughness and some verastility to us. Plus he is improving alot everyday, and becoming more defensive. We felt that Fresh Skillz can be made into the best complamentary player in CSSL.
AL: Ok, tell us about your most recent trade with again, Converse.
JN: Well I got a call from Alpha Male telling me that he is highly interested to coming to Nike. Alpha is a great kid, with lots of potential so I tried a deal with Converse. At first, it looked like it was hopeless, but then Converse called me one day with an offer i couldnt refuse. Just our Second Round Draft Pick for Alpha Male. I felt with all our talent, and our 10-2 record, we wouldn't need much help in the draft. So I just had to take this deal. Alpha called me back estatic, and told me that he will improve and try to earn a starting spot for us.
AL: Speaking of your record, how does it feel being 10-2? Something no one thought could happen?
JN: It feels great, in our first season we broke 10 games. Plus we locked our first place bye for the playoffs and I feel real happy about that. Our only two losses were against AND1, and they have a great team. But both times we lost, we had something changed in our lineup. The first time was when Bonafide got his first start, our second loss was when we first got Fresh Skillz. So I guess AND1 could figure out that we were just getting back our chemistry after our changes.
AL: AND1's coach was the South All Star Coach, who did lead the South to defeat the North. I would call it a big upset.
JN: Well he is a great coach, and they had great players. I guess we didn't click together fast enough like the South did. But hey, the All Star Game is for the fans, and it's a time to have fun. I had fun, and I'm sure the South Coach did. And I know the fans did, so I guess everyone won.
AL: Well good luck into the second half of the season, and throughout the playoffs. I wish the best of luck to you and to Nike.
