MHH - Michael "Hurricane" Henson -SF - Nike
SE- Shaun Elliot - Interviewer - CSSL

SE - Hello Hurricane. Welcome back to CSSL's "Meet the playas"
MHH - Thanks. It's good to be on again and it's good to see you back on the show.
SE - It's nice to be back. Let's get on with the show. Now that the season is almost half way done, how would you grade yourself?
MHH - Well first Shaun, I want to apologize for what my agent did to you. It was totally uncalled for. He's just from the South and has one of those tempers. I'm just really sorry.
SE - I really appriciate that Hurricane. You have always been a class act.
MHH - Thanks Shaun. As for your question, I have actually been somewhat dissappointed with my play.
SE - How so?
MHH - I have been working so hard and just haven't gotten the results that I was looking for. The coaching staff and ownership have been great and have stood behind me all of the way. I just haven't quite been able to put it together and have that one great game yet.
SE - You did have a pretty good game in Week 7. You lead your team in scoring with your personal best 29 points. You weren't happy with that?
MHH - First of all, we lost. I am never happy with that. Second, I still didn't play as complete a game as I would have liked. I'm supposed to hit people like a Hurricane. So far i've been more of a stiff breeze.
SE (laughing) - Well you are contributing in other ways. You're blocking shots and shutting down your assignment on defense. That's gotta help your team doesn't it? They are 7 - 1.
MHH - I still need to do better. This Nike team is just awesome. These guys I play with are just amazing. The fact that we can do so well when i'm not playing that great says a lot about this squad.
SE - Do you think that you guys will win it all then?
MHH - It's looking good at the moment. We've only lost one game and will likely have home court advantage all through the playoffs. You gotta like our chances.
SE - I've got to agree with you there. What do you see as the area that you need to work on the most?
MHH - First and foremost I need to work on my ball handling skills. What passsed for good in High School just doesn't cut it here in the CSSL. I've had the ball stripped from me too many times and the pace is so much quicker i've turned it over too much. I also need to work on my D and rebounding.
SE - What are your goals for the second half of the season?
MHH- I would like to improve everywhere. I want to be scoring 25-30 points a game and averaging close to ten boards per game. As long as i'm hitting those numbers going into the playoffs, i'll be happy with my contribution.
SE - As a side note, will you be playing in the upcoming 3 on 3 tournament?
MHH - I'm hoping to. I haven't gotten a team together yet but there is still some time. I think it would be a lot of fun and I think that it would only make me better as a player. I'm still young and look for every bit of experience that I can get.
SE - Well, it's that time again. Hurricane, as always it was a pleasure speaking with you.
MHH - Thanks again Shaun. I appriciate you having me on the show.
