MHH - Michael "Hurricane" Henson -SF - Nike
SE- Shaun Elliot - Interviewer - CSSL

SE - Hi Hurricane. Welcome to CSSL's "Meet the playas"
MHH - Thanks. It's good to be here.
SE - Our first question for you is how did you get the nickname "Hurricane"?
MHH - Well, a high school coach from an opposing team gave it to me. I was pretty much the best player on our squad and it was a pretty close game. Our coach asked that all of the plays go to me. I scored, and scored and scored. They double and triple teamed me but the just couldn't stop me. We won by a pretty good margin. When the game was over, the other coach looked at his team and said out loud that they looked like they were hit by a Huirricane. The nickname just stuck.
SE - What NBA player, if any, do you compare yourself to?
MHH - Hmmm.........I would have to say......Andrei Kirilenko. He's another tall SF who can score from anywhere and block shots. I don't know if I'm as good as him right now but I plan on being even better.
SE - Good comparison. So what do you think of the CSSL so far?
MHH - It's fun. I was late joining the league so I missed out on the summer session. I played my first game the other day and played pretty well. As you know, i'm 6'10" so I ended up playing some at small forward, power forward and center. I came of the bench but apparently my play was good enough because I was told that I will be starting the 2nd Game at small forward.
SE - Is small forward your best position?
MHH - I think so. It's the position that I fell I play my best.
SE - What do you think of the other players on your team?
MHH - The Nike team is a very strong team. These guys are great players by themselves and we all seem to gel together to make a great team.
SE - Do you think that you can win it all?
MHH - I'd be disappointed if we didn't.
SE - What do you think of the league's talent overall?
MHH - Awesome would be a good word to describe it. It was one thing when I played in high school and college and I was always one of the best. In this league i'm just one of the rest, if you know what I mean.
SE (snikering) - Yes. I think I know what you mean by that. You weren't drafted in this league were you?
MHH - No. Like I said before, I was late in getting in and was too late to be eligible for the draft.
SE - So was Nike the only team that offered you a contract?
MHH - Nope. Actually Nike and another team got into a bidding war over me. A third team had entered the negotiations but I had already made up my mind. I liked what Nike had to offer.
SE - Really? Care to tell us who?
MHH - Naw. I'm Nike now and that's all that counts.
SE - So now that you have signed a lucrative contract, what are you going to do with all of that money.
MHH - I'm not really sure. To be honest, I've been spending all of my time working out, practicing , and getting to know my teammates.
SE - Wow, you are the ultimate team player aren't you.
MHH - I was brought in to help this team win. That's just what I aim to do.
SE - Well, that wraps up out interview. Thank you Michael. And to our readers, this guy is serious about winning. About as seroius as... a HURRICANE!
Good night and God bless!
