AL = Alexander Love (Nike Street Team Reporter)
TC = The Choker
AL: Welcome Choker, nice to see you here today!
TC: Hey I'm glad to be here. Looking good Charlie!
AL: My name is Alex, don't you remember?
TC: Alex, Alex, No who the hell are you?
AL: I'm a reporter from the Nike Street Team.
TC: Cool, Im Latrell. Glad to meet you.
AL: Ok well back to your story, why did you want to play in this Streetball League?
TC: Well because I can't play defense for sh** and the NBA teams didn't want me because of that. Streetball is the type of game I have with the no defense all offense game. I can pass like the best of them too and you can't stop me on the boards. Im a streetballer not an NBAer.
AL: Well, I know Nike wanted you to play for them since you played your first Summer League game. By the way, how was that experince? Who did you meet?
TC: Summer league was the most fun I've had in a long time man. It really felt good to be playing again and it was easy too. I had a triple double and a 58 point game. I met David Harrison known as 'The Hulk'. He's a beast with handle. Nasty. Also I met Bonafide. Kid can shoot the f**king lights out. He was also a cool down to earth guy.
AL: Well sounds like you've met NBA players aswell, how is the environment in the NBA different from the environment of this league?
TC: Most of the NBA players I've met only do it for the money nowadays. The streetballers aren't exactly rolling in the dough but they absolutley love to ball. NBA man it's all greed sh**.
AL: Well being projected to as high as 3rd Overall, you actually went 2nd Round. Did that dissappoint you at all, after all the hard games in the Summer League?
TC: Haha no not at all. I could careless where I get drafted because as long as I'm playing as much as I can it's all good. Mainly I want the team to win and if my team can do that we got a happy Latrell.
AL: Well how do you feel being drafted by Nike?
TC: Nike looks real promising. Show Stoppa is a beast and is probably one of the best players in the league. The rest have some talent too. All I can say if you have The Choker you have a chance to win. You add Miller to the picture and you got a championship calibur team. I love this team.
AL: Sounds like you guys look to takeover this season, with Hot Shot running the point. But I have been curious about your name "The Choker". Where did you get that name? Also it also seemed that you "choked" in the Summer League All-Star Game with a poor performance.
TC: The Choker....Well you see...I got named after two famous NBA players, Latrell Sprewell and Ron Artest. They soon into their careers were famous for choking a person and people started saying what up Choker. I personally hate it but it's all good kind of corny. And for the choking in the ASG... that just weakened my draft position but I'll be fine.
AL: Last question, what expectations do you have for this Nike Street Team?
TC: Playoffs for sure. Championship is a posibility, but for now I will say a winning record is almost probable.
AL: Thanks for being here today Latrell, good luck this season. Any last comments?
TC: Yea word to my homies! haha Go Nike!
