HEADLINES: Is Reebok the new "King on the Block"? Well beating Nike in the first of 3 meetings, Reebok is looking to dethrone the 2-time Nike Champs!
RANKINGS
1) Reebok (3-2)
Well anytime you have the best two players in the league (The Choker & The Machine), you have a great chance for the title. Reebok, who spend the last two years as a laughing stock for the League, is now turning heads as they come out and beat Nike. Shows that Reebok has really grown through their great offseason with getting The Choker and The Machine, and also their great signings. Reebok signed the rookie brothers CAPO and The Ghost, both who are making an early impact. Reebok is topping the rankings, but many teams are on their tail.
2) Nike (3-2)
Experience, talent, starpower... what doesn't Nike have? There is only one answer... The Choker. But just like the Pistons without Larry Brown, the Nike crew is making a good stand without The Choker. Bonafide has really stepped it up, averaging almost a triple-double. Bonafide is also the team captain of the best starting 5. After signing T-Balla, the Nike gang formed the best starting 5 with Bonafide, Exile, Show Stoppa, Jazz, and their newest addition, T-Balla. Their lineup consists of good mix of talent all around the court. Expect them to not fall short of returning to the Finals.
3) Puma (3-2)
Puma is a suprising team. Even losing Hurricane did not stop them to a 3-0 start. The backcourt of Silk and Afro Thunder also seems to keep them atop of their game. Underdog, the default center, also keeps playing well. Spike, the Elton Brand-like, player is quitely impacting many games with his rebounds and blocks. Puma's recent signing, The Future, also puts them with a good look for future.
4) AND1 (3-2)
Many underestimate this AND1 team. Coming as the second best team in the first season, to losing Starbury, and even losing The Machine... this AND1 team still stands strong. Their 4-man backcourt is the most balanced in the league. Fresh Skillz, Hurricane, Spyda and Masterlock all are huge league names. Fresh Skillz, Hurricane and Alpha Male all played for Nike at one point. Each are playing great in Nike's rival team. The southern conference also is the most balanced as all 3 teams are title contenders. AND1 hopes to come back on top.
5) Converse (2-3)
Converse's big three, The Hulk, Jay-Z, and Giggety are quietly putting up some good numbers across the board. Their backcourt are too young to make themselves a huge threat. Warzone and Killa CAM will need to mature if they hope to get to the Finals. Even though they seem to be a target for other teams, Converse is capable of pulling out some big wins.
6) Adidas (1-4)
Speaking of pulling out big wins, Adidas surprised the whole league by beating the number 1 team, Reebok in Week 5. But many call Adidas the worst talented team. But many forgot of the player named "Flash". Flash, Kobe Bryant compared, is putting up career and league highs in Points and 3 Pointers. A&W, The Game, and Great Wall are all good supporters, but to put Adidas in the same zone as the league's giants, they need a better PF and move Great Wall back to the center spot. Recent talks of Great Wall being unhappy and demanding trade might not be as bad as it seems to Adidas. They might be able to pull out a good PF they need out of a deal.
