Starting 5
PG: Bonafide (6'4'' 200 lbs.)
Just recently got promoted to starting position. First game starting Bonafide got 17 PTS, 5 REBS, 4 AST. Not a good game, not a bad game except for the 4 FOULS and 4 TO. But in his second game at starting PG against Reebok, Bonafide redeemed himself and earned MVP honors in the process. Bonafide surprised even his own team with a 25 PTS, 11 REB, 21 AST with only 1 FOUL and 3 TO. Bonafide looks like a keeper going into the playoffs.
SG: Hot Shot (6'6'' 215 lbs.)
Heart and Soul of this team, Hot Shot is quite the talker. But the thing that separates him with all the rappers/players in CSSL is that he can back it up. Protected Player in the CSSL Draft, Hot Shot started 6 Games as starting PG where he was not comfortable with. But being the quick learner, Hot Shot grew into the position and nearly averaging 20+ PTS and 10+ AST. Hot Shot is the lead vote getter with 11 votes, surpassing all other voting catagories. And with his surpreme shooting, distinct passing and "never say die" attitude, we can understand why.
SF: Hurricane (6'10'' 235 lbs)
A late entry to the draft and just missed being picked, Hurricane was a FA until Nike signed him. And it was one of the most important signings for Nike, as Hurricane brought alot of versatility to the team. A starter since he was signed, Hurricane helped Nike with defense averaging 1.5+ STL a game. Hurricane also brought with him a unmatched toughness. This piece of the Nike Street Team Puzzle is one piece they cannot afford to lose because of all the dirty work he does in the games.
PF: The Choker (6'9'' 210 lbs.)
Almost as good as they come, The Choker was projected to go as high as Number 2 in the CSSL Draft. But falling down to the 11th pick, Nike was not going to pass this golden steal. The Choker grabed the first MVP in a game and has been rolling with MVPs all season. Natural Position was SF, but now has grown to PF. The Choker, if he keeps going at this rate, will be one of the top nominees for "Player of the Year" along with the top players in CSSL.
C: Show Stoppa (7'6'' 300 lbs.)
Show Stoppa is indeed the backbone of this Nike Street Team. He has been the support and has quitely made a name for himself as one of the best Centers in the league. Summer League All Star Game MVP, Show Stoppa went Number 2 Overall in the CSSL Draft which was no surprise. And working out everyday, Show Stoppa has been getting better and better. Upon enterting the league, Show Stoppa has averaged a double-double and 15+ PTS. Definetly a "Show Stopper", he has showed everyone in the League a thing or two about being a winner.
BENCH
SG: Ace (6'6'' 198 lbs.)
Not really recongized as well as he should be, Ace was a great FA pickup for Nike. He brought some outside shooting and good off the bench. Has scored alot of points with limited minutes. If he keeps improving as he shows in practice, Ace will definetly see more minutes in the Playoffs.
PF: Money A. (6'11'' 240 lbs.)
Money A. is the 6th Man for the Nike Street Team. Averaging just under a double-double off the bench, Money A. has become the top nominee for 6th Man of the Year. Showing that he can score 20+ PTS and grab 10+ REB in a game off the bench, Money A. has been winning the hopes of all the fans that he is the "Ben Gordon" of Nike. Definite starting material, but the coach likes the production off the bench from Money A. and he does not want to mess up his team's rhythm. Money A. will prove his worth in the Playoffs.
