First Round Draft BREAKDOWN
1. And1 - Hulk A+ C A- C- A+ A
Hulk has been very consistant with claiming more MVPs than anyone this Summer. But as shown in his Summer ASG and first 2 games as an AND1 Player, he isn't really living up to the hype. Not really a bust going number 1, as he has been compared to Dwight Howard... as a person that can only get better over time. Hulk will just have to get better and show that drafting him number 1 was no joke.
2. Nike - Show Stoppa A+ B D- B+ A+ A
Show Stoppa was just a great pick. Anything below a 2nd Overall would be just crazy. But Show Stoppa has been coming up since he entered the league. Many Summer League MVPs, and the Summer ASG MVP, Show Stoppa has just been improving everyday. The scary thing is just that he hasn't even gotten started...
3. Reebok - Spyda A+ A- A+ C- C- A
Not a bad pick, not a great pick. This is the highest Spyda could go was number 3. His offensive game is one of the best in the league, but his small stature might play a disadvantage. But his first two Preseason Games were just amazing as Spyda made a statement that he was not just a player, but the could be the 3rd Best Player in the League.
4. Converse - Rain Man A- A- B- A+ C- A
Rain Man played 3 games in the Summer, nothing special. But he got his BIG break in the ASG as he helped the South defeat the North. His 3 Point Shot is deadly and he can handle with the best of them. Going number 4 is around where I would put Rain Man, maybe some others could of been before him, but great pick.
5. Puma - Silk: B+ A+ A+ B D A
Silk is just full of potential. After coming off a 15 points in 15 minutes in the ASG, Silk probably told all the Owners that he isnt just a regular player. Silk was nothing special in the Summer League and he hasn't shown much activity, but all we know is that Silk is a Top 5 Player in the League right now.
6. Adidas - G.G. Greens A+ C C B- A A
Not much is known about G.G. Greens. He has a late entry for the draft, and didn't play ANY Summer League games. Maybe a BIG suprise in the draft being picked OVER A&W and The Choker, but G.G. Greens showed that he could play in his first game in the Preseason snatching a Triple Double. G.G. Greens looks like a rough gem that we can discover maybe even higher than the 6th pick.
