(AP)- When 17-year old big man Yo Daddy deceided to skip college and enter the City Slam Sim League draft- the Streetball world was in shock. But, an even bigger surprise was on Friday night's episode of Quite Frankly with Stephen A. Smith when Daddy announced he will "pimp Reebok gear on draft night."
Yo Daddy is one of Shawn Kemp's illegitmate children- and has drawn many comparisions to being a bigger version of Shawn Kemp. At the age of 17- he already has two illegitmate children, and has been arrested three times for drug usage. In three summer league games, Yo Daddy averaged 15.7 PPG (40% FG shooting), 17.7 RPG, and 2 BPG.
Yo Daddy told Stephen A. Smith, "it's no secret where I wanna play. My daddy sported Reebok, and Yo Daddy wants to sport Reebok too. A big man-swingman combo like Yo Daddy/The Proffesor would be a deadly combo."
The agent of Yo Daddy, ilovebball, said that Daddy would welcome playing for any team. Saying, "he is one of few people who actually respects Shawn Kemp. And just wants to support his father by openly asking Reebok to draft him. He does not care who drafts him- all he wants is the opportunity to play."
The Reebok team did not retrun any phone calls, but issued the following statement- "We have not spoken to Yo Daddy. We have not worked out Yo Daddy."
A league source said, "Yo Daddy is a very talented big man who would be a good fit on any team- including his first choice, Reebok. He is young, huge, has great strength and athleticism. Has a nice defensive game, good post game, and as proven in the summer league- a monster on the boards. He could be one of the best big men in this draft."
The draft will be held after more players declare.
